Lou Holtz ( 1986-1996) Knute Rockne (1918-1930) Charlie Weiss (2005-2009) Brian Kelly (2010-present)
Lou Holtz: A former college football coach and head coach of the New York Jets, Lou Holtz coached the Notre Dame Football team for 10 years from 1986 to 1996. While at Notre Dame, he lead the 1986 team to a National Championship, led the team to a school record of 9 straight bowl games, and had a record of 100-30-2 while coaching. Holtz is currently a college football analyst for ESPN.
Knute Rockne: Considered one of Notre Dame's best football coaches, Knute Rockne coached Notre Dame for 12 seasons. He had an all-time record of 105-12-5 and led Notre Dame to 3 National Championships. Knute Rockne is well known as the coach who gave the "Win One for the Gipper" speech in 1928 during halftime of the Notre Dame Army game. Sadly, Rockne's career was cut short when he died in a plane crash on March 31, 1931.
Charlie Weiss: A coach of 4 Super Bowl winning teams, Charlie Weiss coached at Notre Dame for 5 years. Weiss had a record of 35-27 while at the school. After coaching at the school Weiss became the Offensive Coordinator for the Kansas City Chiefs in 2010 and is currently the offensive coordinator for the Florida Gators.
Brian Kelly: The Notre Dame Coach since 2010, Brian Kelly was the former coach of Cincinnati. Since becoming the coach of Notre Dame, the football team has had a record of 16-9 and has been to the 2010 Sun Bowl and will be playing at the 2011 Champs Sports Bowl.
